NatGold Digital Finalizes Tokenization Approval Framework for Certifying In-Ground Gold Resources
NatGold Digital Finalizes Tokenization Approval Framework for Certifying In-Ground Gold Resources
Miami, FL – May 20, 2025 – NatGold Digital Ltd. (“NatGold” or the “Company”) today announced the official adoption of its Tokenization Approval Policies & Procedures, a comprehensive six-stage framework designed to govern the evaluation, certification, and tokenization of in-ground gold deposits into NatGold Tokens.
To ensure maximum trust, transparency, and institutional credibility, the NatGold Integrity Vault™ now operates under a rigorous due diligence protocol. This framework ensures that only technically sound gold resources, legally secure mineral rights, and reputable counterparties qualify for tokenization as Certified NatGold Resources, a superior crypto commodity engineered to function as a viable alternative to fiat currency.
Each stage of the process is independently conducted by specialized third-party firms. Their findings are reviewed by NatGold’s Tokenization Approval Compliance Committee – an expert panel composed of independent professionals with specialization in three key areas: anti-money laundering (AML) and financial compliance, mining engineering and geological technical assessment, and international mineral rights law. The committee is currently being finalized.
“Finalizing this framework is a foundational milestone for us,” said Anthony Wile, CEO and Director of NatGold Digital. “It establishes the institutional-grade infrastructure we need to support a transparent and trusted tokenization process. We are now actively appointing committee members and onboarding third-party due diligence firms. In the coming days, we look forward to opening the registration portal for mining companies with qualifying deposits to begin the due diligence process. This is the next step in unlocking gold’s true value in the digital age.”
The Six Integrated Stages of the NatGold Tokenization Framework:
1. AML Due Diligence (Entity & Individual Review)
Corporate and individual reviews are performed by NatGold’s AML Officer, including identity verification, sanctions screening, PEP checks, adverse media review, and beneficial ownership tracing.
2. Technical Report Validation (Gold Resource Validation)
An independent mining engineering firm reviews the geological technical report – prepared under NI 43-101, JORC Code, or S-K 1300 – for data integrity, classification methodology, authorship, and geologic assumptions.
3. Mineral Rights Title Verification (Legal Ownership Verification)
An external legal firm confirms title registration, ownership history, severability, and legal enforceability. Eligible titles must be perpetual or perpetual-like, free of encumbrances, and have no ongoing holding costs.
4. Application of the NatGold Digital Mining Cutoff Grade
Upon completion of the due diligence stages, NatGold’s proprietary cutoff grade is applied by a third-party mining engineering firm to determine the eligible volume of in-ground gold resources for tokenization.
5. Tokenization Certification and Queue Entry
A Tokenization Certificate is issued confirming the quantity of tokens to be minted. The project then enters the NatGold Tokenization Queue, with all supporting documentation made publicly available, ensuring market transparency.
6. Token Minting and Transfer
Following a Title Exchange and Transfer Agreement, ownership of the Certified NatGold Resources transfers to NatGold. Tokens are minted and allocated to the owner’s wallet at Anchorage Digital. Tokens may then be traded on supported exchanges, subject to applicable escrow or trading restrictions.
